The Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre's Education Series presents an initiative developed jointly by General Roméo Dallaire and Dr. Frank Chalk of the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (MIGS). The Will To Intervene Project is spearheading the fight against genocide by building domestic political will in Canada and the United States to prevent future mass atrocities.
Impassioned, insightful, and determined, Mobilizing the Will to Intervene is a direct appeal to American and Canadian politicians, NGOs, journalists, and citizens to participate effectively in the prevention of mass atrocities by pressuring their leaders to act. With simple, practical recommendations, this book shows how civil society can participate in preventing future mass atrocities and help repair a ruined system of international aid.
Panel:
will respond to the recommendations in the book. An official book launch will follow the panel discussion. General Roméo Dallaire will be in attendance
Presented in partnership with the Montreal Institute for Genocide Studies (MIGS), Concordia University, and W21.
