McGill-Queen’s University Press is very pleased to announce that Erin Rolfs will join MQUP as Marketing Director this Fall. In announcing the decision Philip Cercone said, “I am delighted that Erin has accepted the position to be our Marketing Director at a crucial time in the Press’s history. She has the vision, knowhow, and energy to drive growth and lead MQUP’s future marketing efforts worldwide. In addition to managing MQUP’s North American marketing efforts, Erin will oversee and guide the Press’s expansion of its international sales and marketing, specifically in the United Kingdom and Europe.”
Erin currently serves as Marketing and Communications Manager and Assistant Director at Louisiana State University Press. There she was schooled under the leadership of MaryKatherine Callaway and led the marketing department for the past eight years. She has the outstanding credentials to follow in the footsteps of the sterling Susan McIntosh, retiring MQUP Marketing Director and Associate Director. Erin started her career in public relations, working for art organizations and museums, before taking a lead position in international marketing with the Louisiana Office of Tourism. This opportunity led to her time at LSU Press, which has been marked by several advances in the organization’s marketing program including integration of project and title management software, elevation of the Press’s regional coverage, and expansion of their digital marketing efforts. She also currently serves as the AUP Marketing Committee Chair and has presented, chaired, or co-chaired sessions covering best practices in author relations, sales representation, sales data, and project management.
