Local author and knowledge keeper Eli Baxter shares teachings and stories based on his early life, his experiences as a residential school survivor, and the importance of language as a fluent Ojibway speaker. Baxter is the author of the new book Aki-wayn-zih: A Person as Worthy as the Earth.
Anishinaabay Knowledge: Language, Laws, and Worldview. Eli will discuss the importance of language to Anishinaabay identity through stories and teachings. His guest will be filmmaker Sally Kewayosh.
